The Avantia team is expert in modern, industry-standard methodologies for system design and development.

We use a lightweight Rational Unified Process (RUP) with iterations, to guide design and construction activities. The iterative approach causes frequent user interaction and touch points, along with continuous monitoring of quality and risk mitigation, ensuring that we accurately deliver upon our client's vision.

Our functional methodology consists of a general framework for software development based on best practices, employing service-oriented architecture and iterative process. Refactoring is used to restructure code in a disciplined way. Discovering repeating patterns in all areas of software
development and reusing them makes our code more efficient, easier to test and change. We may use models to assist in the explanation of complex structures or processes, concentrating on key and essential features.

A core component of our technological methodology is modular development. The focus on building small groups of automated capabilities and data assures delivery of basic, serviceable functionality for users as rapidly as is possible. Reusability also plays an important role in both our functional and technological methodologies. This not only refers to reusability of the software code, but to all information and knowledge. Reusability is key in decreasing the total (current and future) cost of the application.
